About The APSN

The Asian Pacific Society of Nephrology aims to promote and encourage the advancement of scientific knowledge and research in all aspects of nephrology, and to promote the exchange and dissemination of this knowledge in the Asian-Pacific area. It has close links with all regional national societies of nephrology, and with the International Society of Nephrology (ISN).

The Council of the Society has representation from across the Asian-Pacific Region.  The current President is Yasuhiko Tomino from Japan (see Committee Structure under The Society).

The Society publishes its own journal - Nephrology - see Journal under The Society.

The Society also conducts a Regional Scientific Meeting, currently every 2 years as the Asian Pacific Congress of Nephrology.  Most recently this was in Kuala Lumpur (2008) and the next meeting will be in Seoul (2010).
